The years of his lonely existence within Intellect, finally start to take their toll and Victor Drayton decides to create a special program called Resolve, who he gifts with the ability to be more emotionally and logically intuitive.  His attempts to fill the void of emptiness he feels inside himself which are undertaken in order to provide himself with a deeper human connection are suddenly challenged however, when Resolve suddenly starts to develop emotional feelings for a female human being he has actually been assigned to monitor.

Resolve, who has been allocated to a assist a female user who's life is in upheaval, quickly assists her and manages to overcome the predators within her life but cannot overcome the feelings he has developed for her throughout this process.  A very innocent attraction and unintended emotional attachment, rapidly develops into a deeper desire to become an independent, breathing human being as Resolve then actually seeks to humanize his existence.  Due to the dangers involved, no other monitoring program has ever been granted permission before to transform into a real human being but Resolve is willing to take the risk as he petitions the Guardian to provide him with the opportunity to do so, in order to become a part of Leona's very real, human life.  This desire subsequently creates a dilemma for Victor Drayton as he rapidly discovers that the gift of companionship, he once gave himself has suddenly become his own heartbreak as he faces losing Resolve, the surrogate son he created, to humanity.  Written By Jill Thrussell.
