Two single, female friends that are in the prime of their life are challenged to participate in a dating marathon organised by their best male friend Phoenix, who is slightly worried that the two might get left behind on the romantic shelf and not get what they would like out of life and romance, due to their lack of success in terms of their past romantic track records. In order to help the two women weed out the weedy chaffy men and find the fertile seeds of romance, Phoenix devises a series of 'Manchecks' which he swears by and since he is in a very committed, happy relationship with his male partner, the two women agree to adhere to his plan. Since the Love~A~Thon event that is being organised by Phoenix is for charity, the two women approach the event with an open mind as they prepare to perform the 'Manchecks' that Phoenix has devised upon unsuspecting male participants.
Another additional bonus to assist them in their search for love is the fact that Phoenix is a total genius and has created a device which he specifically designed and named Ulysses which has some very intricate, monitoring and analytical functions which leads to some extremely hilarious results. However, things suddenly start to take a strange turn and become extremely complex when one of the woman starts to fall for a man that fails all the 'Manchecks' and when they also discover that one of the eligible male participants which one of the ladies has taken quite a shine to, has actually devised some 'Womanchecks' of his own which it is feared, she might actually fail.
