A woman and a man that are strangers are suddenly thrown together by a strange time anomaly which seems to provide them with some kind of connection to the Guardian of Time and so they decide to try and capitalize on the opportunity in order to renegotiate the terms of our human existence. Once they meet Guardian Time and however, they are then given ten days to collate the ten time adjustments that they would like to petition and present on behalf of humanity but being strangers with a lot of ground to cover and very different agendas, proves to be a challenge to them as they attempt to come up with a final list that is not only acceptable to them both but also in humanity's best interests. The Guardian of Time decides to present his own arguments for the retention of time as it stands in response to their demands and as the two explore nature's laws, they start to realize that time is the only friend they really have that is truly consistent, very dependable and absolutely reliable. We human beings would like to renegotiate the terms of our human existence as follows:
- An extension to our weekends by two days, if our weekend has been absolutely awful before Monday morning arrives and we have to return to work.
- A time freeze that applies to everyone around us, if we have had an important deadline to meet that might cost us our jobs, just until we finish the outstanding piece of work.
- A possible time lag when we are asked 'do you take' whilst in a marriage ceremony, just so we can consult with our loved ones and friends for one final time and deliberate over our potential husband or wives before we jump into an actual marriage.
- A fast forward for pregnant females when they are about to give birth so that they can skip all the horrible labor pains. The drugs the scientists came up with don't work very well and it's still dam painful.

"Unfortunately, a fast forward during labor pains is not a time adjustment I can grant." The Guardian of Time explained. "Labor is a necessary pain that is endured by a woman to strengthen, equip and prepare her for the patience, tolerance, stamina and consistency that she will need to possess in order to raise and love her offspring."
