The Story
Two shadows (Faithful and Challenge) go on strike and start to revolt as they try to take over the human forms of two souls and bodies they've been assigned to as when the annual 'Human of Tomorrow' contest arrives, they are not eligible to participate. The Shadow Contest (Human of Tomorrow) is held each year by the ruler of the Shadow world and the main prize provides one lucky shadow the chance to become human and live a human life but to qualify you have to have served your human faithfully, be attached to a human that is due to die and then win the Shadow Contest. Due to their personal shadow circumstances, this particular year the two shadows are ineligible and they begin to rebel as their entrance to the contest is disallowed. When the two dissatisfied Shadows decide to seek out and track down a shadow shaman with whom they form an alliance, chaos rapidly starts to ensue as they lead a rebellion which rapidly spreads out across the Shadowlands and even threatens to seep out into the human world. Written by Jill Thrussell.Â
The first animated short for this project will be completed by March.
Quote:
“Shadows are tasked with protecting human lives, if a shadow deserts their human counterpart, usually that human being will then face tribulations and trials they are under equipped to cope with.“ ~ Jill Thrussell
Genre: Family/Adventure/Fantasy/Supernatural
Overview:
The Shadowlands population is made up of Shadows, ninety percent of whom are assigned to human forms but about 10 percent work for the Human Favours Bureau in either; the Dream Centre, Fate Training Academy, the Human Favour Life Bank, the Stork Family Assignment Facility, the Shadows Training Academy or the Rest In Peace Halls. In a valley on the edge of the Shadowlands, the Mischief Makers which are Shadows that have deserted their human forms who have been outlawed and banned from the Shadowlands reside as they occupy the Valley of Treachery. On occasions and whenever they can, these troublemakers invade the Shadowlands for various reasons with malicious attacks as they are aggressive, wild and rebellious. Every year a contest is held inside the Shadowlands and a human being is selected to moderate the 'Human of Tomorrow' contest alongside with the ruler and God of the Shadowlands and one lucky, eligible Shadow is given the highly coveted and prized 'Human of Tomorrow' annual slot so that they can actually live a real human life.
The three objectives of Shadows are:
- To Protect Human Lives
- To Assist Human Beings
- To Provide Invisible Companionship to Humanity
