A Christmas Full of Wishes & the Happiness Wishlist/Signs of Christmas & the Happiness Wishlist

Short Summary: A life size, imperfect robotic doll that yearns to have a human home and owner is left on an empty shelf prior to Christmas with only a smart aleck cat for company who at times scratches which is no comfort to her broken, lonely state and so, the festive season starts to look very bleak.  However, as the week heads towards the New Year, a purchase suddenly occurs when a young orphan girl with vocal and hearing impairment challenges expends a gift voucher that she was given from her guardian along with all her pocket money savings in the hope that some of her Christmas wishes will come true.   The two start to forge and make great strides of friendship when the robotic doll is not only bought by Annalise and taken home but also swiftly becomes her best friend and companion.  Due to the interactions between the two, Saturn quickly learns sign language and they start to communicate through Saturn’s input touch keypad which enables Saturn to become Annalise’s voice through a 'word to speech program' which provides a way for Annalise to communicate more easily with the rest of the world. 

Once the two can communicate, they quickly embark upon an adventure of discovery and self-discovery as they create and then start to tackle Annalise's happiness wish list which they then attempt to fulfil.  In the process and as they fulfil each happiness wish on Annalise’s list, Saturn starts to show Annalise some of the worldly wonders around her, helps to reduce some of the barriers of frustration that Annalise and helps her to make some kind of sense of her orphan status in life as they explore a world together that Annalise can now more fully participate in, make more sense off, and communicate with more easily.

Summary: In the last couple of weeks before Christmas inside a toy shop upon a shelf, a robotic doll Saturn waits for Christmas and the purchase of the year that will give her a home and a human owner to belong to and love but sadly, due a broken knobbly button nose on her face which was a design error and a broken robotic leg which was a result of damage in transit, her dream to become a Christmas present doesn’t happen and so Saturn starts to feel the pain of rejection due to her state of imperfection.  Since it is just before Christmas there are no other living toys left in the store to comfort Saturn because all the living toys have already been bought, so she starts to feel a bit lonely as Christmas morning draws closer and the toy store owner’s unfriendly, smart aleck cat who at times scratches is no comfort to her broken, lonely state. 

However one day, just a few days after the returns come in from the Christmas gifts that children didn't want to keep, a spark of hope suddenly appears as a young orphan girl arrives to make a purchase with her guardian that cannot speak or hear (due to vocal and hearing impairment challenges) and the two start to forge a friendship and as Saturn quickly learns to understand sign language, the robotic doll is not only bought and taken home but also swiftly becomes Annalise’s best friend and companion.  The two rapidly start to make great strides of friendship as they communicate through Saturn's input touch keypad and Saturn becomes Annalise’s voice through a 'word to speech program' which provides a way for her to communicate more easily with the rest of the world as well as a warmer blanket of comforting friendship as the two quickly become inseparable.  Due to Annalise's curiosity and Saturn's fearless nature, the two quickly embark upon an adventure of discovery and self-discovery as they create and then start to tackle Annalise's happiness wish list and as Saturn starts to show Annalise some of the worldly wonders around her and helps to reduces some of the barriers of frustration, Saturn also helps Annalise to make some kind of sense of her orphan status in life as they explore a world together that Annalise can now more fully participate in, make more sense out of and communicate more easily with.  Written by Zaylee Knowles
