Summary: When Melina and Rustler receive a help call due to the ground collapsing and strange tremors from some wildlife in Brazil, they set off to visit the rainforest, courtesy of the portal door that they were given by the Heroic Creatures Rescue Crew, where they find a rainforest full of friends and foes as they make some new friends and some new scary enemies. During their travels they try to help and attempt to equip Twiggy Softsnout (tapir, very intelligent, scientist that can make gadgets), Spidamonkey Swingtail, (spider monkey clown prankster that can make anyone laugh that makes vine swing rides, can hang, swing and steal objects with tail and has a natural food radar that can sense food sources from huge distances), Armonia (Harmony) Healerfur (singing capybara that can sing songs that heal, give hugs that heal, makes healing and courage remedies, the resident forest happiness expert and relationships harmony counsellor, even when it’s scary) and Figs Brightbeak (toucan) to protect their forest and the endangered species that live in it as they start to investigate the strange tremors and the ground collapsing below the forest.  Along the way as they try to build a Wild Survivors HQ, they have to face some tough enemies such as Crusher Conda an anaconda, an exotic pet trader, Jagged a caiman and Springer (Bouncer) Jinx the jaguar as they try to prepare their Wildlife Survivors Rainforest Crew for their wildlife missions to help animals with extinction issues, solve nature problems, find and build solutions like useful wildlife structures and wildlife homes, help wildlife in need, build and repair friendships, learn natural wildlife lessons and help nature all around them across the forest and waterways to survive.  Suddenly, however they encounter and stumble upon a human boy in need Miracle Shields that has lost his family and human group and is stranded in the forest that they have to help and protect.

However, when they discover that the forest is collapsing under their paws due to the exotic pet traders, hunters and poachers who are bounty chasing a long lost artefact (and any other treasure they can find and grab) from a lost settlement (city) which is said to be hidden under a section of the forest, and that they are using explosives to try and find it for an archaeologist who has no idea who the rogue humans really are or the lengths that they will go to, they must try to awaken the legends and guardians of the forest and call upon the Heroic Creatures Rescue Crew to assist.  Meanwhile as a side quest, in the midst of all the chaos, Rustler also has some other adventures with Miracle as he enlists the help of the Wise Croaks (choir of singing frogs that sing songs full of wise tales), Surinam (golden lion tamarin monkey) and her Samba Steppers Dance Troupe and Bobber (green iguana) and his Bobbing Around Bobbers group (lizard bobbing dance group) to try and find and then visit some of his distant family members for a samba reunion in time for the forest festival which is just days away.  Once Rustler and Miracle meet his distant family members, the two learn of a creature that exists that no one has ever seen which could stop deforestation in that part of the rainforest with a species protection order but they must sidestep a pushy reporter who insists that she wants the world to hear what the animals of the Amazon have to say to the world about unusual topics while they just want to eat their dinner in peace and save their home, unite the animals of the forest through music and dance and outsmart an unethical herbalist as well as track down the elusive legendary creature and prove it exists that might or might not be a danger to the forest’s other inhabitants and themselves via a forest dwelling hermit (who knows the legendary stories and a secret song of Amazonia which it is said can summon the creature) who appears to be almost as hard to track down as the creature itself who might destroy the very essence of what they are trying to save.  Written by Jill Thrussell
