Synopsis:

When a female recording artist suddenly loses her ability to speak, sing and hear, Larissa's life is thrown into total disarray however, there are two pillars of strength in her life that she rapidly embraces as her long-term partner and a young fan with a disability attempt to support her in her darkest hour.  The changes in Larissa's situation rapidly start to affect her relationships with other people and her interactions with the world around her as her world that was once filled with lots of beautiful melodies, not only falls flat but also remains completely and utterly silent.

After the medical condition has fully taken root in Larissa's life and some of the superficialities that once were so prevalent in her world and life have been stripped away Renee, who was born with permanent hearing loss starts to teach Larissa sign language, then she helps her to try to regain her parts of her life as she teaches her how to communicate with the world once again.  Some major obstacles must be overcome by Larissa however, as her shipwreck career that once seemed so full of life now sits upon the rocks of potential heartbreak and almost totally flatlines which breaks her heart.  Not only must Larissa learn to cope with the professional challenges that she faces but also the uncertainty with regards to her future as the medical professionals attempt to establish whether or not the damage to her hearing and voice will be permanent but frustratingly, no answers are immediately forthcoming.  Fortunately for Larissa however, her young fan Renee has taught her not only sign language but also introduces her to a scientific medical professor that vows to help Larissa to sing again through technological vocal projection larynx sensors and voice simulation and replication, a technology which could not only give her back the missing parts of her life but also reimburse her with the songstress future that was taken away from her.  Written by Jill Thrussell
