The Memory Trail Short Film
Short Summary: When a woman is given memory access to some of her father's memories by her father who is terminally ill that is on his deathbed who can no longer communicate verbally through a AI memory program, he uses the program to create a memory trail of messages for her to follow that allows her to visit and explore his memories. Suddenly, she discovers that each memory and message contains a memory clue to a family mystery and to the broken relationships among family members as she attempts to find some of the smaller answers that will heal and repair the cracks in her family's torn, broken and fragmented relationships with each other and the larger, fuller picture answers that could potentially heal her family as a whole before her father departs from life. Extended Summary: When a woman is given memory access to some of her father's memories by her father who is terminally ill that is on his deathbed who can no longer communicate verbally, through a AI memory program, he uses the program to create a memory trail of messages for her to follow that allows her to visit and explore his memories which contain his past interactions in life seen from his perspective. Each time she accesses their past shared and individual memories, the past and present seem to mingle, connect and commune with each other in mysterious ways as she attempts to follow the memory trail that he has prepared for her. Suddenly, through her exploration of the past however, she finds herself thrust into a mystery and a memory trail of clues from her own past memories and her father's past memories which she must wade through and there are some missing pieces to the puzzle from her other family members memories which she must collect with their cooperation in order to solve each memory clue as she seeks to solve a mystery that she didn't know exists which may or may not provide her fragmented family with some answers and peace. However, as she tries reconciling the past with the present, attempts to reconcile her family’s relationships, attempts to collect the missing memory clues from others to rebuild and heal her family members and tries to convince her fragmented family that is scattered across the world to visit his bedside, reunite in love and gather before he departs from life as well as provide her with information from their own memories to solve the memory mystery, some obstacles of painful hurt and a lack of forgiveness stand in the way.
