Cleopatra, Adam, the Love Map & the Favourite Person Mission (working title)

The Story: when a cat finds out that her owners are separating, initially she gains as they go all out and compete to win her affections in a pet custody battle, each wanting to be her favourite person so that Cleopatra will choose and then can leave with them and she starts to confide in the child of the household, a young boy called Adam (seven or eight years old) who is the only one that can hear her speak and that she speaks to as the competition gets fiercer and fiercer. However, when Adam and Cleopatra the cat accidentally find out that one of Adam's parents and Cleopatra's owners has a terminal condition, they then have to try to find a way to convince them to stay together and to become each other's favourite person without letting the cat out of the bag as life suddenly starts to follow a different trail and they both realize that they don't want to lose access to either party and then try to concoct schemes to make the two be each other's favourite person. During that process they seek some help from a 'Becoming Your Cat's Favourite Person: Cat Lovers Guidebook', some local cats, a robotic toy dog, a local neighbouring dog who might just have a different agenda entirely and a mature, quirky, eccentric neighbour that is a retired botanist that likes trying to solve local mysteries (that are not actually real mysteries) and fancies themselves as a bit of a sleuth who helps them create a love relationship map for the two adult humans with romantic landmarks to visit and recreate full of places, romantic events and nostalgia that they visited and experienced throughout their relationship as they try to get them to fall in love once again, get them to retread the trail of their favourite person, challenge them to remember the things that they once loved about each other and try to revive their love for each other.
