The Air Charge Codes/The Extinct (working titles)
In the near future air is in short supply much like human compassion both of which human beings need to survive and most people on the surface (surface dwellers) breathe a mock air dilute with minimal oxygen in it which makes it hard to breathe and the wealthy elite that inhabit Grand Air City which is dome city in the sky (sky dwellers) has better quality air which is purer with higher, concentrated oxygen content. Society and its relationship with air is symbolic of its relationship with factions of society and especially those that are not as wealthy and this metaphorical relationship reflects the reality of human relationships within this society and with each other. Animals no longer exist in their natural, physical form in Grand Air City and just a few remain that live below the surface in underground tunnels and caves because most have been made into synth creatures with robotic parts to entertain and service sky dweller human needs by a robotics corporation.
When a young girl with asthma is abandoned by her father, who sees her as a liability and lies to her mother about his abandonment to cover up his actions, runs out of inhalants, she seeks refuge in a derelict building where she is found by an air hacker that saves her life. In order to assist her, the air hacker then teaches her how to break the air access codes so that she can hack into the air system that provides air to Grand Air City to steal enough air to survive from the central pure air supply however, some sentinel robots guard the city and the air like gold dust, so any air code hacking attempts can be risky. Since the sentinel robots' main duty is to preserve the elite, the wealthiest and those that are considered to be the strongest of the human species (human beings are treated like specimens which the robots utilise to study human primal instincts), every breath for the air hacker and young girl becomes a battle for survival and they must continually move around to avoid detection by the sentinel robots. Along their way, the two encounter some of the last remaining animals that are struggling to survive, so she convinces the air hacker to help her save and protect them before they are robotized but that requires more air because the animals are struggling to adapt to the diluted air that they now breathe because their natural evolutionary response is not fast enough to assist them, so the air hacker decides to try and capture a robot to help them keep a step ahead and to build an air generator. During his mission however, he encounters some synths that were once human beings that have been robotized to provide the wealthy sky dwellers with entertainment, one of whom is the young girl’s mother and so, she convinces the hacker to hack into and utilize the robots time loop manipulation program with some time hack codes to reverse time so that they can try to save her mother but the time loop intuition process is risky and could result in a time overlap that could cost them their lives.
