Zinc the Botanist Bot & the Frozen Zoo

Zinc the Botanist Bot & the Frozen Zoo

Short Summary: when a boy from Skypod City which is in the sky above the earth, the surface of which is no longer inhabitable, loses his father and uncovers a conspiracy to flood the underground frozen zoo, nature zoos and underground tunnels with toxic waste to eliminate any living wildlife, he sets off on a journey to find the Frozen Zoo and the last Nature Zoo to try and save both.  Both the Nature Zoo and the Frozen Zoo are underground and contain most of the last real animals and plant life that exist which are looked after by a solitary botanist robot who provides natural healing remedies to Skypod City, because animals do not exist any longer in their natural, physical form in Skypod City at all and are almost totally extinct on the earth's surface.  Some other wild animals do remain outside the zoos that live below the surface in underground tunnels and caves, but these animals are wild, dangerous and savage and so are usually avoided.  The robotic animals that exist in Skypod City have been made into synth creatures from real animals with robotic parts to entertain sky dweller human needs by a robotics corporation and very few remain on the planet's surface, but humanity itself is also in danger extinction due to a huge catastrophe that has wiped out most of the human race.

Along the way, he must trade for air with Ranglers (nomad human species with grey skin with some robotic strands with some unusual abilities) that occupy the earth's surface and Zoologpods (animal/robotic hybrids) and avoid the lawless human bandits that occupy and drift in and out of the underground caves and tunnels, because humans can no longer breathe as easily on the earth's surface and he meets a Rangler female child that helps him to get some air and then accompanies him on his journey.  During their travels, the two encounter what appears to be one of the few last remaining animals on the surface an Ili Pika (species said to have magical and musical abilities) that was originally trapped and smuggled to sell the robotics corporation and then abandoned when the smuggler bandit got ambushed by other bandits, that is struggling to survive due to the lack of air and natural plant life and the robotic corporations that are hunting wildlife down.  So they decide to take the young Ili Pika with them in the hope that the robotic Botanist will provide the creature with refuge and a place of safety but protecting the Ili Pika is a tricky task because robotic hunters are on the hunt and wish to transform the last of the living species into a robotic creature and the robot botanist may not be willing to participate because it would put all the other animals in the zoos at risk, if the robotic hunters decide to venture underground.  Written by Jill Thrussell

To be updated:

In the near future, deep under the earth, a solitary robot looks after an underworld full of animals and nature as well as a frozen zoo to protect species in the longer term, guarding nature's future from mankind who are their biggest threat and spends some time reconstructing species in an attempt to recreate the extinct. However, when a human child stows away then shows up in cargo supply cart (who wants to see an extinct animal species in person and so is seeking out the legendary underground nature world which may or may not exist according to general human society, who are now just a small group of human survivors that live in a dome with sky pod homes suspended from the dome above the planet's surface where nature no longer resides or exists or any humans just robots, due to the planet's surface being inhabitable), a choice must be made whether or not to return the human child to the surface and to the Sky Pod City Access point.

The risks are great however, because to do so would involve leaving the underground nature reserve, the frozen zoo and any species regenerations unguarded for the journey which could be treacherous and the botanist bot has never made an independent decision before also the global warming from the planet's surface as well as the potential of flooding from rising water levels are starting to threaten the survival of the underground nature reserve and frozen zoo that the robot botanist maintains which could either thaw due to heatwaves and wildfires for flood and some species could then escape which might unleash dangerous natural threats upon the remainder of mankind which could in turn lead to mankind's own extinction but another revelation occurs when the human boy admits why he is there searching for his father who passed away whose dying wish was for his brain cells to be merged and incorporated into an animal's DNA so that he could live again, who may or may not be among the frozen zoo species that are being kept in the underground zoo.  Written by Jill Thrussell (Developed from Virtualization/Island of Wonders/Intellect: User Repair etc.)
