Buddy cop crime procedural based on the Wild Witness project.
The Story: when their boss, the Chief of Police, decides that Oakley, Peyton and Whizzy work well together as a team, they are put together on a permanent basis and tasked with solving crimes that involve animals or animal witnesses across the city. Since they have a translation device that enables them to communicate with any kind of animal, Whizzy who is an expert on wildlife and a tree trunk of knowledge when it comes to wild instincts and Autumn on hand, who also lives in the city, aspires to be a zoologist and likes helping to solve cases, this is the only lifeline that their Chief will give them because their record of failure hangs in the balance with every case that they investigate.
Some of their cases and tasks include not just crimes against nature but also cases where animals are witnesses to human crimes against each other, such as the identification of drug suspects by a retired sight impaired sniffer dog who has to testify against drug dealers but who is in hiding due to the danger and other things such as training of some pet spies and placement of surveillance devices in their collars and microchips to bust an international credit card fraud ring, exposing a pet kidnapping breeder crime ring and helping a hearing impaired child to find, identify and testify against the person/s responsible for a child kidnapping etc.
