Confused: Decisions, Decisions, Decisions... There's an App for That..
The Story
When a man faces with an overwhelming number of choices in life, due to the increasingly complex nature of society and a sudden shocking medical diagnosis, he downloads a personal assistant program bot that a platonic female friend and ex work colleague, who is a programmer and tech developer, recommends to him. Due to his medical diagnosis which has just given him a year to live he starts to re-evaluate all the areas of his life with the personal assistant program bot at his fingertips that now makes all of his decisions for him and helps him to solve any problems in life that he faces as he puts his trust more fully in the program that he has now almost become totally reliant upon.
Since the personal assistant program bot can predict the most probable outcomes to any choice or problem he may face in life, can offer solutions and even seems to be able to predict which solution or choice will be the most beneficial to him with amazing accuracy, he decides to see if it can provide him with the solution to one of the most persistent problems in his life which is his single status. However, when a number of first dates go disastrously wrong and his female friend starts to draw closer to him, he suddenly realizes that she might want their friendship to expand across its platonic borders into the land of romance.
Suddenly, a mysterious, complex question arises in his mind as to whether the personal assistant program bot is one of her technological creations and if perhaps, she is really the person that has been solving his problems and making all his recent decisions for him. When he bumps into another ex-work colleague who is also a tech programmer and developer, who is now working for a rival tech firm that is in direct competition with his female friend's employer, his friend quickly reassures him that they can answer his question together. From that point onwards, a game of friendly tech cat and mouse begins as they both try to catch his female friend out, so that he can determine if the disastrous dates that he recently went on which were a total unromantic mess, were also a part of her intricate life and social engineering plans which it appears want to steer him towards her own heart.
