Logline: When a memory therapist takes on a new client the lines between memory regression, simulations of the past, memories from the heart and current reality become blurry because as she attempts to reconcile and retrieve him from his grief, he abandons his current life in an attempt to rekindle and relive the life that he once had with the wife that he lost five years ago. Summary: A new memory retrieval service exists which allows people to visit key points and memorable moments in their life or from their past relationships, in order to enjoy relationships, events and moments from the past that they never wanted to end through mind memory regression and simulation technology. However, when Sarai, one of the memory therapists takes on a new client Miguel she notices that the lines between memory regression, simulations from the past, memories of the heart and reality start to become blurry as he abandons his present life for the past that he lost.
In an attempt to rekindle and relive the life Miguel still yearns for, he slips into a pattern of continually living in simulations from his past memories that involve his lost wife which Sarai notices obstructs him from living a fuller, very real life in the present because his mind and heart seem unable to accept, reconcile or process his grief. However, as Sarai tries to rescue his heart from the brink of past despair, she attempts to provide him with a lifeline to reality and a route map to happiness as she tries to convince him that today's heartbreak is a beautiful sadness which cannot be forgotten and that can make you the person that you have become today. Sadly however, before Miguel can experience the joys of today, Sarai has to find a way to persuade him that the heartbreak of the past cannot be a substitute for today's reality which he still needs to live in as she tries to encourage him that today might contain some small joys, if only he can allow himself to live in it and find them.
