The Story:
A woman is diagnosed as being terminally ill and since she has an artificial friend (artificial intelligence life form) that assists her in life to help her reach her human goals and upgrades her human capacity, she decides to participate in the artificial comfort for human grief program where the artificial intelligence assistant steps into replace her and provides a form of support, companionship and comfort to her family, lover, friends, work colleagues and employer in her absence for six months to minimise the effects of their grief. When it's discovered however that the diagnosis was a mistake, Fifi then has to try to win back her family, lover, employer, work colleagues and friends in an attempt to reclaim her life as her artificial substitute who is an upgrade to her own human abilities, remains ever present as the allocation is non reversible and has made her redundant in her own life.
Due to a special clause that takes precedence when such unfortunate mistakes occur, it is stipulated that she cannot reclaim her position in life, unless she provides more personal and professional satisfaction to her connections than the robotic clone (artificial life form) and she is sworn to secrecy as each interaction is then assessed as Fifi attempts to win back the right to her life from an artificial life form that is an adjudicator who decides whether or not she can return to her own life. If Fifi fails to win back the right to her own life, she will spend the rest of her life either in a solitary capsule or the Redundant Hearts Wasteland which presents a challenge to her as the robotic clone (artificial life form) that she wants relied upon and trusted to assist her in life, seems to be a better version of herself than she ever was.
