Self-Discovery Interactive Project: Mapping Your Happiness/Building Your Happy Treasure Map (all ages)

Happy Landmarks: Own Life

Things that make you happy (own life) is the blank map starting point.

In this instance the happy landmarks would be activities, interests, passion anything you enjoy etc.

Happy Treasure Map would then help participants to plot their happy landmarks which they can visit every day, week or month to participate in their happy treasures in life.

Happy Landmarks: Home City, Town etc.

Places where you have happy times (memories, activities etc.)

Operational Aspects: Participants start with a blank map outline of their home city, town etc. then can create a trail of their movements on their map to record their journey across their city, town etc. as they visit their happy landmarks.  This can either be a sit-down activity where participants plot their trail or they can visit each of the five or ten landmarks then either draw a sketch, take a photo of themselves at the landmark or bring back a token souvenir e.g. leaf from the park, flier from the gym.

Five or Ten Happy Treasure Map Landmarks Landmark Criteria:

My Happy Memories Landmark/s: a place/s that holds happy memories for participants.

My Happy Activity Landmark/s: a place/s where they participate in an activity that they enjoy (e.g. gym, park etc.)

My Happy Senses Landmark/s: Somewhere that participants like to visit that engages the senses where participants can see, hear, touch, smell or taste or something that they enjoy or like.  (e.g. taste: a restaurant, café or food market that they like to visit, sight: a place they visit to see something they enjoy which could be to see a show, watch live sports, see visual art or to see wildlife etc.)

My Happy Wildlife Landmark/s: a place/s where nature and wildlife can be seen that they enjoy visiting or just a place where they spot some interesting flora or fauna.

My Happy Future Landmark/s: a place/s that holds happy hopes for the future.

At the end of the event the happy landmarks would be put onto their Happy Treasure Map of their city, town etc.
