Don't Let Pain Take Away Your Today/Just Don't Let Pain Take Your Breath Away/A Better Dawn is On its Way/Dawn of a Better Day

I know that life's been so hard,
And that you bear some deep scars,
But those scars mark your victories,
And those wounds symbolize your braveries,
But I know those wounds can heal with time,
So don't ever let pain take your breath away.

So don't let pain take your life away,
Don't let pain take your breath away,
And don't let pain take away your today,
Because a better tomorrow is on its way,
If you can just hold on,
And try to be strong,
A better day can dawn,
And a better dawn is coming along.

I know you fought life's battles for so long,
And the hurt they gave you was so wrong,
But life doesn't always give us our humanity,
And people don't always give us our dignity,
But in your mind your dreams can still live,
So don't ever let pain take your breath away.

So don't let pain take your life away,
Don't let pain take your breath away,
And don't let pain take away your today,
Because a better tomorrow is on its way,
If you can just hold on,
And try to be strong,
A better day can dawn,
And a better dawn is coming along,
So just hold onto hope,
And try to be strong.

So don't give away your today,
Try to stand strong and stay,
Because I know that,
Somewhere out there,
On the other side of the storm,
There's a better dawn,
And if you can just hold onto hope,
Then a better dawn will come along.

So don't let pain take your breath away,
And don't let pain steal your life away,
Don't let pain take your happiness today,
Because I know that one day,
The pain will leave and move on,
Then a better day will dawn.

Just don't let pain take away your today,
Try to stand strong and stay,
Because a better day is coming along,
And a better dawn is already on its way.

Rest In Love: My Heart's Holding You Close (dedication to those who loved and lost) (pending finalization)

I know it doesn't make sense,
To lose you so soon,
And I know it doesn't make sense,
To live on without you,
Life doesn't make any sense
Because you were,
The breaths that I take,
You were the sun that shone,
Inside my heart,
So now my heart aches.

So rest in love,
Because my heart's holding you close,
And I know you're waiting for me,
So one day when life departs,
We'll meet again in eternity,
In the place where love heals,
Every broken heart that life yields,
And I know God's holding you close,
So you can rest in love, rest in love,
Rest your beautiful soul in the heavens above.

Every memory we made,
Lives inside my heart,
Like a jewel, like a jewel,
And replays inside my mind,
Wishing that for you,
It wasn't the end,
But at times life can be cruel,
So those footprints of love,
That you left in my heart,
I'll follow the trail of our memories,
In honor of your heart,
And keep our memories safe, in every part.

So rest in love,
Because my heart's holding you close,
And I know you're waiting for me,
So one day when life departs,
We'll meet again in eternity,
In the place where love heals,
Every broken heart that life yields,
And I know God's holding you close,
So you can rest in love, rest in love,
Rest your beautiful soul in the heavens above.

I hear your voice echo in every wind,
I feel your tears in every drop of rain,
And I see your smile in every ray of sun,
That give me hope that your eternity's begun,
I hear your heart beat in every song,
I feel your strength in every dawn,
And I see your light shine in every star,
Because my heart's holding you close,
Near not far,
Through the tides of love and pain,
Just waiting for the day,
That our souls will meet again.

Our Song of Human Harmony

I'm going to play a song,
Can you sing along with me,
Because I'm playing this song,
Our human family's song of harmony,
Because when I sang a song of peace,
Every note was drowned out by grief,
Then when I played a song of kindness,
Every chord was capsized by disbelief.

But we can still give,
The melody of peace a chance,
To wash the blood of human hands,
And we can still give,
The tune of love a chance,
To heal and repair our broken lands.

We can still sing,
Our song of human harmony,
Because there's still time,
To find our human family,
And it's never too late to sing,
Our song of human harmony,
Because deep inside of us,
We are one human family,
So let's sing our song of human harmony,
Let's play the chords of peace,
And sing the melody of dignity,
Together in harmony with our human family.

Human harmony, harmony, harmony,
Can we sing the song together of human harmony.

Can we sing a song of peace,
Together in our hearts,
Can we play notes of forgiveness,
To heal our broken lands,
Can we sing a song of love,
Together to our fellow man,
Can we play a symphony of hope,
With sincerity in our motives and plans.

Because we can still give,
The melody of peace a chance,
To wash the blood of human hands,
And we can still give,
The tune of love a chance,
To heal and repair our broken lands.

We can still sing,
Our song of human harmony,
Because there's still time,
To find our human family,
And it's never too late to sing,
Our song of human harmony,
Because deep inside of us,
We are one human family,
So let's sing our song of human harmony,
Let's play the chords of peace,
And sing the melody of dignity,
Together in harmony with our human family.

Human harmony, harmony, harmony,
Can we sing the song together of human harmony.

When war takes our loved ones,
What will console our grief,
When war destroys our homes,
Where will we find any peace,
When war destroys our lives,
How will we ever forget,
The human harmony of pain,
That fills our lives with regret.

We can still sing,
Our song of human harmony,
Because there's still time,
To find our human family,
We can still give,
The melody of peace a chance,
To wash the blood of human hands,
And we can still give,
The tune of love a chance,
To heal and repair our broken lands.

Human harmony, harmony, harmony,
Can we sing the song together of human harmony,
Let's give melody of peace a chance,
To wash the blood of human hands,
And the tune of love a chance,
To heal and repair our broken lands.

Our Hearts Can Be a Bridge of Peace (draft work in progress pending completion & finalization)

Can you feel,
The waves of despair,
Full of anger and pain,
Crashing everywhere.

Can you feel,
The tides of hate,
That decorate our history,
With all our mistakes.

Can you feel,
The tremors of brutality,
Shaking our humanity,
With undercurrents of cruelty.

But our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
If we try, if we try,
And our hearts can rebuild,
From the rubble of our grief,
Because our hearts can forgive,
And our forgiveness can live,
Our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
If we try, if we try.

Do you think,
War will ignore you,
Pass your life by,
And just evaporate into the sky.

Do you think,
War will discriminate,
Give you a longer fate,
And just ignore history's mistakes.

Do you think,
War will miss your head,
Wash over you instead,
And just pass by the painful bloodshed.

But our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
If we try, if we try,
And our hearts can rebuild,
From the rubble of our grief,
Because our hearts can forgive,
And our forgiveness can live,
Our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
If we try, if we try.

Our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
If we try, if we try,
Our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
If we try, if we try,
Because our hearts can be a bridge of peace,
When we build more bridges than we destroy.

Peace Can Be Our Victory (pending finalisation)

When we love more than we hate,
Peace can be our victory,
When we do more right then wrong,
Peace can build bridges that are strong,
When we forgive more than we forsake,
Peace can heal our heartbreak,
Because peace can be our victory,
When we give more than we take.

When we surrender to our humanity,
Peace can be our victory,
When we surrender to our dignity,
Peace can set us free,
When we surrender to our hearts,
Peace can protect human lives,
Because every human life and heart,
Needs peace to survive.

When we love more than we hate,
Peace can be our victory,
When we build more than we destroy,
Humanity can live in harmony,
When we care more than we ignore,
Peace can grow from every human pore,
Because peace can be our victory,
When every human life means more.

When we surrender to our humanity,
Peace can be our victory,
When we surrender to our dignity,
Peace can set us free,
When we surrender to our hearts,
Peace can protect human lives,
Because every human life and heart,
Needs peace to survive.

When we give dignity to humanity,
Peace can be our throne,
Every heart can have a home,
When love lives and grows,
On every family tree,
Then peace can be our victory.

Humanity is going to capsize,
If we can't keep peace alive,
Because every human life and heart,
Needs peace to survive,
But if we surrender to our humanity,
Then peace can be our most triumphant victory.

Trail of Tears (pending finalisation)

On your journey through life's miles,
Did you create any joy,
Or just a trail of tears,
Did you give any kindness,
Or just terror and fears,
With all your years,
Did you live your life well,
Or just destroy mankind,
What kind of legacy,
Did you choose to leave behind.

There's a trail of tears,
In our hearts and minds,
And it's getting longer every day,
So that trail's not hard to find,
There's trail of tears in our lands,
That won't disappear or go away,
Because it grows bigger every day,
So there's a trail of tears,
In our hearts and minds,
That's weeps every day for mankind.

On your walk through your years,
Did you provide any peace,
Or just capitalise on fears,
Did you fix your errors,
Or create a trail of heartbreak,
With all your mistakes,
Did you offer a helping hand,
Or just destroy mankind,
What kind of personal history,
Did you choose to leave behind.

There's a trail of tears,
In our hearts and minds,
And it's getting longer every day,
So that trail's not hard to find,
There's trail of tears in our lands,
That won't disappear or go away,
Because it grows bigger every day,
So there's a trail of tears,
In our hearts and minds,
That's weeps every day for mankind.

Did you live your life well,
Or just destroy mankind,
Did you offer a helping hand,
Or just destroy mankind,
What kind of legacy,
Did you choose to leave behind.

I'll Be Your Parachute

Somehow, you got on a flight of hope,
But it took you somewhere wrong,
On a diversion of hurt, a detour of pain,
Then a stop off in total destruction.

But no matter where,
That flight of life takes you,
My parachute of care,
Is always ready to protect you.

Coz I'll catch you,
When you're falling,
And life's engines are stalling,
I'll be your parachute,
Your parachute, your parachute.

Somewhere on that flight up in mid air,
You found out the hard truth,
Sitting on a baggage seat of lies,
With no safety belt to spare.

But don't carry the suitcase of pain,
That flight of life gave you,
Coz my parachute of love,
Is always ready to catch you.

Coz I'll catch you,
When you're falling,
And life's engines are stalling,
I'll be your parachute,
Your parachute, your parachute,
And I'll catch you,
When you're falling,
And when your wings are broken,
Coz my heart is your parachute,
Your parachute, your parachute.

I'll be your parachute of care,
When life's rocky or bare,
And I'll be your parachute of hope,
When you let go of life's rope,
I'll be your parachute of love,
When care is no longer there,
Coz the parachute of love inside my heart,
Will open when your life falls apart.

Coz I'll catch you,
When you're falling,
And life's engines are stalling,
I'll be your parachute,
Your parachute, your parachute,
And I'll catch you,
When you're falling,
And when your wings are broken,
Coz my heart is your parachute,
Your parachute, your parachute.

Star of Love in My Heart That Shines For you

Your life was taken away so young,
And you felt so many pains,
That you shouldn't feel,
Your suffering breaks my heart,
And you never had a day to heal,
Because your life was stolen, taken away and broken.

So I'll just hope,
That God wraps you in his arms,
And hold onto that hope,
Because in my heart,
Your star still shines so brightly,
Through the dark.

Because there's a star in the sky,
And that star shines just for you,
And it will never fade away,
Because it revolves around the truth,
And in my heart,
There's a star of love,
That shines just for you,
And the world should not forget,
The pain and hurt,
That your heart lived through.

Your life cannot return,
But there's a lesson we must learn,
Because your pain cannot be void,
And your suffering without ramifications,
So we your human family must mourn,
Because your life was stolen, taken away and broken.

So I'll just hope,
That God wraps you in his arms,
And keeps your spirit,
Safe from harm,
And I'll just hope,
That peace finally came along,
And I'll just hope,
That your life,
That was taken away,
Far too soon,
Will never be forgotten,
For a single day.

Because there's a star in the sky,
And that star shines just for you,
And it will never fade away,
Because it revolves around the truth,
And in my heart,
There's a star of love,
That shines just for you,
And the world should not forget,
The pain and hurt,
That your heart lived through.

So I'll hold onto those hopes,
Because in my heart,
Your star still shines so bright,
Through the cruel darkness,
That you lived through,
That was hidden from sight.

And I'll hold onto those hopes,
Because in my heart,
Your star still shines so brightly,
Through the darkness,
That took your life,
So heartlessly and so cruelly.

Because there's a star in the sky,
And that star shines just for you,
And it will never fade away,
Because it revolves around the truth,
And in my heart,
There's a star of love,
That shines just for you,
And the world should not forget,
The pain and hurt,
That your heart lived through.

So I'll hold onto my hopes,
Because inside my heart,
Your star will continue,
To shine out so bright,
Through the darkness of wrong,
That was hidden from sight.

Can We Still Hear Our Children's Hearts Cry (draft pending finalization)

You see it your way,
They see it their way,
But somewhere in the middle,
Maybe peace can find a way today.

All the pain and all the war,
All the battles and all the scars,
Death on every side,
Until hope can no longer survive.

Tell me can we still hear,
Our children's hearts cry,
Through the bullets,
And all the bombs,
Through the truth,
And all the lies,
Can we still feel,
Our children's heartbeats,
Through the death,
And all the pain,
Through the shame,
And all the blame.

You blame them every day,
They blame you the same way,
But somewhere in the ruins of death,
Maybe life can survive and take a breath.

All the pain and all the war,
All the battles and all the scars,
Death on every side,
Until hope can no longer survive.

Tell me can we still hear,
Our children's hearts cry,
Through the bullets,
And all the bombs,
Through the truth,
And all the lies,
Can we still feel,
Our children's heartbeats,
Through the death,
And all the pain,
Through the shame,
And all the blame.

Tell me can we still feel,
Our children's hearts cry,
Can we still hear,
Our children's heartbeats,
Through the hurtful pain,
And all the human defeat,
Can we end the death,
And let life take a breath.

Because somewhere in the middle,
About halfway,
Maybe peace can find a way to live,
And survive today,
And maybe somewhere in the ruins of death,
Life can still survive and take a breath,
If only we can listen,
When our children's hearts cry.

Tell me can we still hear,
Our children's hearts cry,
Through the bullets,
And all the bombs,
Through the truth,
And all the lies,
Can we still feel,
Our children's heartbeats,
Through the death,
And all the pain,
Through the shame,
And all the blame.

You blame them every day,
They blame you the same way,
But somewhere in the middle,
About halfway,
Maybe peace can find a way to live,
And survive today,
And maybe somewhere in the ruins of death,
Life can still survive and take a breath,
If only we can listen,
When our children's hearts cry.

Wishing for Eternity (work in progress)

Wishing there had been more time,
Because there were so many things to say,
Wishing there had been more time,
Before the sands of time ran away,
Wishing there had been more time,
To see your face and smile again,
Wishing there had been more time,
To reminisce on what could have been,
Wishing for another day,
To spend in life with you,
Wishing that your heart had longer,
So that I could live another day of life with you.

But time can never take,
The memories we make,
So each imperfect memory in my heart,
Is full of life, love and our mistakes,
And at times you sheltered me,
From life's hardships and misery,
So I hope God wraps his arms,
Around you and keeps you for eternity.

Wishing we had talked more,
Before the present became the past,
Wishing we had laughed more,
Because time ran out so fast,
Wishing we had been together more,
To give more memories to our minds,
Wishing we had loved more,
To give comfort to our hearts that's kind,
Wishing for another day,
To spend in life with you,
Wishing that your heart had longer,
So that I could live another day of life with you.

But time can never take,
The memories we make,
So each imperfect memory in my heart,
Is full of life, love and our mistakes,
And at times you sheltered me,
From life's hardships and misery,
So I hope God wraps his arms around you,
And keeps you for eternity.

Trophy of Pain (pending finalization)

At times I see you walk by
With your head held high,
But the painful history of you,
Runs through my mind regularly,
And still lives inside me,
Because my heart was your casualty.

Sometimes I wonder why,
Hindsight always arrives too late,
To be of any use to my heart,
And the regrets trickle into my mind,
As I remind my heart,
That you were toxically unkind,
Because the day you tricked me,
Your love would be some kind of luxury,
Without any warning to my heart,
I fell straight into your slum of misery.

So now I have all these,
Bruises on my heart,
From your toxic war of fake romance,
That I didn't want to be in, join or start,
And those bruises of hurt,
From your painful humiliations,
And your cheating toxic degradations,
Still keep my heart company.

Because you are just a trophy of pain,
A living souvenir of heartbreak,
My heart's reminder of a painful mistake,
You are just a trophy of pain,
A trophy of pain for my heart,
From the human nightmare,
That left bruises of hurt on my heart,
When you tore it apart,
Just a shadow of misery from the past,
Now you're just a trophy of pain.

Sometimes my heart still aches,
Because what I thought was a romance,
Was just a toxic unromantic circumstance,
So heartbreak still gushes through my heart,
Because the torrents heartbreak,
Don't abandon hearts easily,
As I remind my heart and myself,
That you were just thorn of painful misery,
And that you would never really love me.

So now when I look at your face,
And you try to convince me to try again,
Instead of you,
I'll give that chance to me,
And instead of giving you my heart to break it,
I'll keep my heart and save it.

Because you are just a trophy of pain,
A living souvenir of heartbreak,
My heart's reminder of a painful mistake,
You are just a trophy of pain,
A trophy of pain for my heart,
From the human nightmare,
That left bruises of hurt on my heart,
When you tore it apart,
You're just a trophy of pain,
But I can still stand up in my dignity,
Because my trophy of pain,
My heart has fully earnt from your toxic cruelty.

Sometimes my trophy of pain,
Shields me from you the hurt of you,
Because it restores my heart,
Ever since the day I saw the reality of you,
Because when I opened my eyes,
I rediscovered and found my dignity,
And the knots in my heart,
From your lies were undone,
So I was finally free,
To repair my life and regain my dignity.

So now you're just a trophy of pain,
Just a shadow of misery from my past,
A mistake of heartbreak that didn't last,
You're just a trophy of pain.

Because you are just a trophy of pain,
A living souvenir of heartbreak,
My heart's reminder of a painful mistake,
You are just a trophy of pain,
A trophy of pain for my heart,
From the human nightmare,
That left bruises of hurt on my heart,
When you tore it apart,
Just a shadow of misery from the past,
Now you're just a trophy of pain.

So when I look at your face,
And you try to convince me to try again,
I remind myself of the pain,
That comes along with you,
Like a main meal of heartbreak,
With a side order of pain,
From a heart that's always untrue,
So instead of you,
I'll give that chance to me,
And instead of giving you my heart to break it,
I'll keep my heart and save it,
Because freedom from your pain is my heart's luxury.

So now in my heart you're just a trophy of pain,
And an ugly stain of history,
A nightmare living in disdain with no remedy,
Just a bunch of toxic lies,
Living in heartbreaking disguise,
And a mistake of pain I'll never repeat again,
Because I'll never let you back into my life,
To trick my heart ever again.

Your Footprints of Love in My Heart (draft pending finalization)

Although the days are long,
And the nights are hard,
Since your departure,
When life took your heart away,
Somewhere inside of me,
Even though I'm a casualty of fate,
I live in and cherish the parts of you,
That still remain inside of me.

Coz my memories of you,
Are your footprints of love,
Inside my heart,
And the times you carried me in life,
Through the hardships and storms,
So time can never erase,
Those memories that we made,
Because your footprints of love,
Still exist in my heart,
And those memories still carry me,
Through life's hard times and days.

Although my lonely regrets,
Now wander through each day,
And there is nothing more,
I can give, do or say to your heart,
Somewhere inside my heart,
I still keep the memory treasures,
That we made alive,
Each and every day.

Coz my memories of you,
Are your footprints of love,
Inside my heart,
And the times you carried me in life,
Through the hardships and storms,
So time can never erase,
Those memories that we made,
Because your footprints of love,
Still exist in my heart,
And those memories still carry me,
Through life's hard times and days.

My Survivor's Victory/Surviving You is a Medal for My Heart/A Survivor's Victory (Rough draft: work in progress)

Today as I live in the reflections of yesterday,
Though the bruises fade away,
The debris from your punches,
And violent attacks still stay,
Sometimes visions of you cloud my mind,
That are brutal, cruel and unkind,
Full of your nightmares from yesterday,
That fill my heart with fear and pain every day.

Coz you were just a dictator and a violator,
A heart bruiser and a violent heartbreaker.

Somehow, I'm still alive,
And somehow, I survived,
Somehow I took the pain,
Though my life was never the same,
Just full of painful memory bruises,
Of heartbreaking pain,
So my only consolation,
From that heart breaking situation,
And the only medal for my heart,
From my survival of your violent abuse,
And battery now that I'm free,
Is my heart's survival story,
That lives in every free breath that I breathe,
So each day of my life is my survivor's victory.

Visions of myself still fill and flood my mind,
Lying on that ground,
While you kicked my body all around,
The hammer you hit me with fell heavy on my bones,
But didn't break me,
And I made it out to a safe zone freely,
Your death threats to kill me if I ever left you,
Still echo in my ears,
Although I'm free now from your punches in my face,
And you're no longer near.

Coz you were just a dictator and a violator,
A heart bruiser and a violent heartbreaker.

Somehow, I'm still alive,
And somehow, I survived,
Somehow I took the pain,
Though my life was never the same,
Just full of painful memory bruises,
Of heartbreaking pain,
So my only consolation,
From that heart breaking situation,
And the only medal for my heart,
From my survival of your violent abuse,
And battery now that I'm free,
Is my heart's survival story,
That lives in every free breath that I breathe,
So each day of my life is my survivor's victory.

My body was my decision,
But you took that choice from me,
With your battery and rape,
Which were your victories,
My left eye that you tried to poke out,
Can still see,
Though it's not as strong as it,
Used to be,
I can still see with my eyes that you said,
You'd take away if I ever left,
So my eyes would be part of me,
That no one would else would ever get to see.

Somehow, I'm still alive,
And somehow, I survived,
Somehow I took the pain,
Though my life was never the same,
Just full of painful memory bruises,
Of heartbreaking pain,
So my only consolation,
From that heart breaking situation,
And the only medal for my heart,
From my survival of your violent abuse,
And battery now that I'm free,
Is my heart's survival story,
That lives in every free breath that I breathe,
So each day of my life is my survivor's victory.

Your daily degradation, battery, humiliation,
And abusive violations,
Bruised me many times,
But somehow I made out alive and I survived,
So my life without your rape and battery,
Is my heart's survival medal of victory.
So my survival now that I'm free,
Is my survivor's medal of victory.

So if you're in this kind of situation,
And this is something that your facing,
Don't listen to your abuser's blaming,
Or what they say about the situation,
Coz your bruises don't need fake explanations,
Just find a way to leave, find a way to breathe,
Because if you can't escape from their violent ways,
Then they might try to take your life today,
And your life can't be given back to you,
Once a violent abuser takes your life away.

When Life Defeats You
Songwriter & Lyricist: Jill Thrussell

Sometimes a shadow of misery,
Can fall across your life to block your path,
And pain can be an obstruction,
That scars your heart with agony and wrath,
But life doesn't always promise,
That your dreams will come true,
And not every day is full of joy,
When misery finds and attacks you.

So if life defeats you,
And pulls you down to the ground,
Just look for me through the shadows,
Because I'll always be around, I'll always be around.

Chorus
When life defeats you,
And you're crushed by a rock of despair,
Look for me in your moments of trial,
Because I'll always be there, I'll always be there,
When life defeats you,
And you need a ladder of love,
I'll let you climb onto my back,
And carry you when things get tough,
Because life isn't always pretty,
And we're not always strong,
But when life defeats you,
I'll stand by your side and help you carry on.

Sometimes your heart may falter,
So it can be hard to carry on,
Because life can be tricky,
And you might steer into wrong,
Some painful trials might bury you,
Under a mountain of despair,
Because life can challenge you at times,
In ways that may seem unfair.

So if life defeats you,
And every breath becomes a cry,
Just look for me through the shadows,
And I'll help you give life another try, give life another try.

Extended Chorus
When life defeats you,
And you're crushed by a rock of despair,
Look for me in your moments of trial,
Because I'll always be there, I'll always be there,
I'll give you my hand to help you up,
When you fall down,
And I'll give you a smile to replace,
Your sad, tearful frown,
When life defeats you,
And you need a ladder of love,
I'll let you climb onto my back,
And carry you when things get tough,
Because life isn't always pretty,
And we're not always strong,
But when life defeats you,
I'll stand by your side and help you carry on.

Sometimes jagged rocks of destruction,
May start to sink your boat of life,
And no lifeboat may come to save you,
Or rescue you from that strife,
A wave of despair can swallow you,
When you sail through the storms,
And an escape route is something,
That may never appear or come along.

So if life defeats you,
And your heart's a shipwreck of pain,
Just look for me through the shadows,
And I'll shelter you from the rain, shelter you from the rain.

Chorus
When life defeats you,
And you're crushed by a rock of despair,
Look for me in your moments of trial,
Because I'll always be there, I'll always be there,
When life defeats you,
And you need a ladder of love,
I'll let you climb onto my back,
And carry you when things get tough,
Because life isn't always pretty,
And we're not always strong,
But when life defeats you,
I'll stand by your side and help you carry on.

Sometimes a shadow of pain,
Can be painted onto your heart,
And sharp spears of hurt,
Can hit your heart that destroy every part,
So if despair moves into your life,
And you crash into a wall of pain,
I'll help you to climb over,
The walls of heartbreak and shame.

So if life defeats you,
And walls of mistrust surround you,
You can look for me through the shadows,
And I'll help you restore your life anew, help you restore your life anew,
Because sometimes life can visit you,
And take from you what it wants to take,
And sometimes there's no shelter of comfort,
From that painful heartbreak, from that painful heartbreak.

Final Chorus
So if life defeats you,
And you need a ladder of love,
I'll let you climb onto my back,
And carry you when things get tough,
Because life isn't always pretty,
And we're not always strong,
But if life defeats you,
I'll stand by your side and help you carry on.

So if life defeats you,
And crushes you into the ground,
Nearby my arm of friendship,
Can always be found,
Because when life defeats you,
I'll help you carry the pain,
And when life defeats you,
I'll give you a crutch of friendship,
To help you stand again,
When life defeats you,
And turns your heart upside down,
Just reach for my hand,
Because my arm of friendship,
Will always be around.

Just a Heartbeat of Love

Every heart beats with the hope of tomorrow,
And every heart loves with the hope of acceptance and warmth,
But sometimes other people can cause pain and are shallow,
And even life itself can feel as if it has no heart,
But we can change our world with a heartbeat of love,
And a heartbeat of love can heal our pain, love can heal our pain.

Chorus
Just a heartbeat of love can bring sunshine to the skies,
And a heartbeat of love can nurse a broken heart that cries,
A heartbeat of love can provide shelter from the rain,
And a heartbeat of love can heal sorrow, hurt and pain,
Just a heartbeat of love, just a heartbeat of love,
Just a heartbeat of love can change our world.

Every mind can grow weary from life's struggles,
And sometimes our battles aren't always fought and won,
But when you see the sadness in someone else's eyes,
Sometimes you can replace their tears with a smile for a while,
Because we can change our world with a heartbeat of love,
And a heartbeat of love can heal their pain, love can heal their pain.

Every heart can give a heartbeat of love,
To someone that is weary, sad and in need of joy,
And when you give a heartbeat of love to someone else's heart,
You can lift up their heart and their joy will restart,
Because we can change our world with a heartbeat of love,
And a heartbeat of love can heal another's pain, love can heal another's pain.

Extended Mid Chorus
Just a heartbeat of love can bring sunshine to the skies,
And a heartbeat of love can nurse a broken heart that cries,
A heartbeat of love can provide shelter from the rain,
And a heartbeat of love can heal sorrow, hurt and pain,
With a heartbeat of love we can lend a helping hand,
And with a heartbeat of love we can help our fellow man,
With a heartbeat of love we can ease someone else's pain,
And with a heartbeat of love we can wash away the rain,
So if we reach into your hearts to find a heartbeat of love,
Our heartbeats of love can change our world,
Just a heartbeat of love, just a heartbeat of love,
Just a heartbeat of love can heal our world.

Every time the world is in turmoil and people feel lost,
And chaos reigns over our world, lives, minds and hearts,
When despair pushes the world to the brink of distrust,
Our hearts can restore each other with a heartbeat of love,
Because we can change our world with a heartbeat of love,
And a heartbeat of love can heal the world's pain, love can heal the world's pain.

So when the rest of the world falls out of line,
And into a drain of despair with no hope to find,
We can change our world with just a heartbeat of love,
And our pulse of kindness can help the world to realign,
Because with a heartbeat of love you can save another's life,
And with a heartbeat of love you can make a wrong into a right,
With just a heartbeat of love, just a heartbeat of love,
With just a heartbeat of love we can change our world, we can change our world.

If we reach into your hearts to find a heartbeat of love,
Our heartbeats of love can change our world.

Missing Part in My Heart

Since your departure from my life,
There's been a missing part in my heart,
So with tears in my eyes,
I remember the life that we shared,
The love that we gave,
Our laughter and the tender care,
But now that you're gone,
Our joyful times no longer live,
So now only mournful echoes remain,
That seem to mock my heart's pain.

But I'll never forget our shared years,
All our happy joys and all our sad tears.

Chorus
Because without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
Just a cold empty space,
And a world fallen out of place,
Each day without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
And a deep void of love,
That can't be filled or given away,
Every week without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
But nothing can restore our yesterdays,
Now that we're so far apart.

Since your departure from my sight,
There's been a missing part in my heart,
So with sadness in my spirit,
Our yesterdays now feel so distant,
Because the present can no longer offer,
A future to you and I,
So our tomorrows don't arrive, (Our tommorrows can no longer arrive)
And my life's been left with just memories,
So yesterday's sad echoes still remain,
That seem to mock my heart's pain.

But I'll never forget our shared memories,
All our sad failures and all our happy victories.

Chorus
Because without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
Just a cold empty space,
And a world fallen out of place,
Each day without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
And a deep void of love,
That can't be filled or given away,
Every week without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
But nothing can restore our yesterdays,
Now that we're so far apart.

Since your departure from my side,
There's been a missing part in my heart,
So with heartache in my mind,
And no return ticket to your human abode,
I hope you've found some peace now,
Inside your beautiful soul,
But now that I no longer feel,
The warmth of your love,
Those lonely echoes still taunt me,
Because your departure from my life has (life's) been so tough.

But I'll never forget our shared years,
All our brave acts and all our cowardly fears.

Chorus
Because without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
Just a cold empty space,
And a world fallen out of place,
Each day without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
And a deep void of love,
That can't be filled or given away,
Every week without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
But nothing can restore our yesterdays,
Now that we're so far apart.

Since your departure from my arms,
There's been a missing part in my heart,
So with heartbreak in my heart,
I feel my life without you now,
Has a missing part,
And though you're no longer near,
My life, side, arms and heart,
Now my heart clutches onto the broken fragments,
From those echoes of heartbreak and pain,
Full of our loving moments and the memories that remain.

Extended Bridge
So I'll never forget our shared heartbreaks,
All our amazing victories or all our painful mistakes,
Even though now all that remains,
Is just the missing part in my heart,
That still loves you so deeply across that far apart.

Final Chorus
Because without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
And a hurt so heavy,
That my heart cries every day,
Without you,
There's a missing part in my heart,
But nothing can restore our yesterdays,
Now that we're so far apart,
Because nothing can give you,
Another day to live,
And now that we're so far apart,
There's nothing more to your heart that I can give.

Since you've been missing from my life,
My every hope, dream and heartbeat without you,
Seems to fall apart no matter what I do,
Because it's so hard to live my life now with no you,
But somehow deep inside of me,
In my mind, memories and heart,
You will continue to live,
And with every beat of my heart,
I'll try to keep your memory alive,
Even though you're no longer standing by my side.

Outro
So a final goodbye,
Comes to you from my heart,
Because nothing can give you,
Another day or a fresh start,
And now that we're so far apart,
There's nothing more that I can give,
To your absent heart,
So although you're gone,
And you can no longer draw near,
Deep down inside of me,
Our love will still live without any fear,
Because our love came to my heart so naturally,
So now you will always be,
That missing part of me.

When Our Dreams Fall Apart (Dreams Built from the Ashes of Pain/Ashes of Pain) (still to be finalized)

Our dreams may try to find shelter inside our hearts,
But sometimes our dreams break and then we fall apart,
The storms can be so heavy and the pain can be so deep,
But life cannot always give us all that we seek,
Shadows of misery can steal our dreams like an invisible thief,
And life cannot always save us from our broken heart's grief.

Our dreams can become just a million pieces of heartbreak,
Because life may not give back what misery tried to take,
Our dreams can keep us alive but can also tear our lives apart,
And our hearts may get lost in sadness when our dreams fall apart.

Chorus
When our dreams fall apart and our hearts feel weak,
That's when we have to stand up and try to be strong,
When our dreams fall apart and we can see no way through,
That's when we have to walk in hope to carry on,
Another dream can be built from the ashes of pain,
And that dream might comfort us and soothe our pain.

Every day we may try to build our future to shelter us from storms,
But when our sandy dreams fall apart sometimes our hearts can't carry on,
Life cannot always provide a solution to what we may believe,
Though our dreams can keep us alive as we strive to achieve,
When our dreams are shattered and lie in pieces upon the floor,
And reality steps in with truths that try to crush our core,

Our dreams can become just a million pieces of heartbreak,
Because life may not give back what misery tried to take,
Our dreams can keep us alive but can also tear our lives apart,
And our hearts may get lost in sadness when our dreams fall apart.

Chorus
When our dreams fall apart and our hearts feel weak,
That's when we have to stand up and try to be strong,
When our dreams fall apart and we can see no way through,
That's when we have to walk in hope to carry on,
Another dream can be built from the ashes of pain,
And that dream might comfort us and soothe our pain.

From the ashes of our pain another dream can be born,
That may be able to carry us through life's rocky storms,
Though life can steal our dreams and people crush our hearts,
A bridge of hope does exist and there's a journey we can start,
And just when we think that our hearts can't take no more,
Hope can step into our lives with a lifeline to explore,
Because hope can take our hand and guide us to a path that heals,
Since hope understands the disappointment that our heart feels,
Then from the ashes of our pain another dream can be born,
That can guide and carry us as we stand through the storm.
