Summary: When Beast Dark Tales manages to steal the magic story compass that helps to give new and growing stories and story beings direction and then makes his way to the human world to change all the positive, kind and brave stories into scary, dark and mean stories in order to crush human spirit, two siblings notice his arrival when the stories in their storybooks start to transform and the ink and sketch drawings on the pages transform into dark, twisted words and imagery as dark tales replace them as well as the shows they usually watch on television and their video games. Somehow, they manage to save their final storybook and game which they quickly hide in the attic of their home which contains Fableworm who invites them to Storyland and as they fall into its pages and land in Storyland, Fableworm takes them to meet the Royal family of Storyland.
In response to Beast Dark Tales attack on the human world and the good and warm stories in it, the King and Queen of Storyland send two of their four children Princess Fables and Prince Hero Tales, Fableworm, Songworm, some story heroes, some good story fairies and some story bots out into the human world to find him, to get back and regain control of the Magic Story Compass, to find lost positive stories and to redeem positive stories once more to save the human world from despair. However, as they venture out on their story saving quest with the two children as their human guides, parts of Storyland start to fade and become dark due to the lack of storytelling in the human world and the loss of power in stories and some good story beings and stories start to perish due to the drying up of the Lake and River of Hope in Storyland which usually nourishes them. Along the way, the children’s group must find and free some positive and warm stories (story beings) that are being held captive that were too strong for Beast Dark Tales to transform into darkness and also face an enemy called Dark Disbelief who is helping Beast Dark Tales by spreading shadows of disbelief around in the human world to steal hope from human hearts and minds. Unfortunately, as more stories turn darker, this results in parts of Storyland disappearing into nothing and becoming dark in places and as the power of storytelling becomes darker, sows less hope and yields less positivity in the human world, some places in storyland disappear completely as darkness and dark stories consume, destroy and erode the once mainly peaceful, pleasant and joyful land and the River and Lake of Hope dry up completely as a drought of watery hope drops hits Storyland. So, the children must help Fableworm to try and save the human planet from darkness and despair, help to restore the power of stories and save Storyland from drying up, becoming total darkness or disappearing completely. Storyland & the Power of Stories: Beast Dark Tales & the Dark Story Scrambler
When Storyland's Fairytale Stories and storylander's words are put into a dark scramble by Beast Dark Tales, two siblings must help Princess Fairy Tales and Fableworm to find the characters, story starts, middles and ends, unscramble the stories, some of which now have some warped dark parts (i.e. happy endings have been changed to dark endings and good characters to dark characters etc.), clean them up and then help to put them into the correct order as well as unscramble some scrambled storylander's words from negative to positive ones once more to detangle some upset, disharmony and misunderstandings. However, Beast Dark Tales is holding some positive fairy tale characters in his dark dungeons that they have to find and free to complete each story as well as lurking in the background with dark tale booby traps and disguises and as more words are spoken and more positive words are scrambled into mean, negative words, they must find a way to make or find a descrambler device to untangle everyone's words and to restore peace and harmony in Storyland. Once they unravel Beast Dark Tales devious deeds however, they discover that he has created and is using a secret dark scrambling device and that he is on his way to the human world to scramble human words, human stories and human memories to create dark disorder, mayhem and chaos so that he can plant notes and chords of darkness and disharmony across human hearts and minds to disrupt the human world.
