The Story
Due to a reduction in the number of natural deaths due to medical advancements, Death suddenly finds himself at a loose end as the natural demand for his services reduces and therefore decides to take matters into his own hands and become a contract killer for human beings. When some unsuspecting humans hire Death to kill their chosen targets however, they rapidly discover that they ultimately have to pay a price they hadn't quite bargained for. The Story
Due to Death's availability because of medical advancements, changes in lifestyles, healthier living and a decrease in the human death rates, Death decides to trade life and death with some members of humanity and picks a few potential participants to make deals with as Death offers his services as a contract killer. One of the chosen participants however, rapidly discovers that the shadowy figure he is in negotiations with is Death incarnate and in a desperate attempt to escape and cheat death himself, he enlists the help of a forensic scientist that works for a detective agency but as the two men try to renegotiate the terms of his life through science and battle the supernatural as people all around them start to disappear and meet grisly ends that were not part of his initial agreement with Death, they begin to doubt that science can resolve a problem that doesn't have a logical substance, an understandable approach to humanity or even a formula of existence.
