The Story
A woman who is a quality control expert enlists the help of an artificial friend and assistant to help her optimize her happiness and improve her quality of life as she participates in a program called the 'Life Happiness & Quality Improvement Project' with the hope that it will help her to solve her problems, aid her in making better decisions and generally improve the quality of the people in her life. During the program, she starts to outsource some of her human decision making processes and human functions to the Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) programmable assistant called Optimal Happiness Solutions (OHS) and as she does so, she rapidly notices some tangible results as her general happiness levels and life start to improve. Since she is an emotionally compassionate person and she is often taken advantage of by other human beings, this optimal happiness exercise and life improvement project has been long overdue and so, the artificial assistant starts to help her reduce the low quality people in her life and the impact of their presence as she aims to reach her optimal happiness points and improve the quality of her life through better decision making, enhanced problem-solving approaches and improve the quality relationships in her life.
However, as the infringements worsen, eliminations suddenly start to occur as the AI attempts to reduce the negative impact of any negative relationships and eradicate the human bottlenecks in her life. The AI challenges get increasingly tougher as the infringers are held to account and some start to transcend into actual physical injuries and deadly punishments as the outsourcing of her personal decisions via her life improvement project seems to take a dangerous turn. Despite her desire to see some of the most horrible people in her life get their long deserved comeuppance however, she does start to worry that she seems to be losing control of her own human life as the AI friend and assistant takes over more and more of her human functions in loop of social and functional AI engagement that now it appears, cannot be stopped.
